Browns lend a hand in Treecycle 2018
Running from Monday 8th – Saturday 13th January, Brown Recycling are taking part in the fantastic Charity Treecycle scheme for the second year in a row.
Alongside a number of other local companies, we’ll be helping you to recycle your old real Christmas tree for a donation which will go towards Douglas Macmillan Hospice and Caudwell Children – two great charities which provide vital services for North Staffordshire.
Trees will be collected this week from households who have registered with any one of the companies taking part. If you signed up before Friday 5th January, you’ll simply need to leave your tree in a visible and prominent position, either at the front or side of your property – but not on the pavement or road.
Minimum donation per tree is £5, but you can of course donate more if you wish. Our service helps you to get rid of your old tree quickly and cleanly; no more rotting needles in your backyard or struggling to cram it into your car.
Mitch Brown, Sales Director at Brown Recycling, said: “Stoke Treecycle is a fantastic local initiative which we’re proud to support. This is our second year of supporting the Christmas tree collections and it is great to see the campaign growing from strength to strength. This is a really unique way to showcase our recycling capabilities and demonstrate how our company continues to support the local community.”
Suzi Smith, Head of Corporate Fundraising and Events, added: “We would like to thank all of the companies and their volunteers for helping both charities this year in this collection. We expect to collect in the region of 750 trees and the donations will help both charities to continue to assist people who are less fortunate than ourselves.”
At Brown Recycling we provide dedicated recycling services throughout Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas throughout the whole year, helping you and the environment.
