We are delighted to announce that Brown Recycling has earned the prestigious Bronze EcoVadis Medal, placing us in the top 35% of companies assessed by them in 2024.
This independent assessment rigorously evaluated our sustainability performance across both our operations and in the value we deliver to our customers, our suppliers and our team. The high ranking we achieved is testament to our long-term commitment to being a sustainable and compliant waste management business.

EcoVadis is a global leader in sustainability assessments, providing companies with a rigorous evaluation of their sustainability performance. The EcoVadis methodology assesses organisations across 21 sustainability criteria, grouped into four key themes: Environment, Ethics, Labour and Human Rights, and Sustainable Procurement.
The sustainability performance of each business is ranked against the Ecovadis global database, offering an objective comparison of best practices and areas for improvement. This helps organisations address key challenges and track their progress over time.
At Brown Recycling, we are committed to helping set the sustainability standards for our industry, not just meeting them. The EcoVadis assessment has provided valuable insights that will inspire further improvements in our sustainability initiatives to benefit our business, our customers and the communities we serve.
Dominique Brown, Co-Managing Director at Brown Recycling, commented on the company’s latest accreditation:
“Building a sustainable business and supporting our customers on their sustainability journey have been key strategies for Brown Recycling for many years. We are proud to have achieved a Bronze Medal ranking for our sustainability performance from EcoVadis, placing Brown Recycling in the top 35% of companies they assessed globally in 2024. This distinction is a testament to the efforts we have made to enhance our sustainability management and improve transparency across our supply chain.”
This important and independent assessment validates our current practices, provides a benchmark for internal performance, and inspires us to pursue further improvements in our sustainability initiatives, setting the stage for even greater achievements in the future.
