Scrap Metal FAQs
Can I bring scrap metal into your site myself?

Yes, you can. Our scrap yard is based on Florida Close, Sneyd Hill, ST6 2BY. Please be advised that the minimum value for scrap metal that we can take is £10.00. This is to cover our administration and operating costs.

How do I get paid for my scrap?

We offer payment directly onto the customer’s own Visa Debit card, or alternately via a BACS bank transfer. Since the removal of cash as part of the Scrap Metal Dealers Act in 2013, we are unable to offer cash as a payment option.

How do you price your scrap metal?

All scrap metal is graded and priced using that day’s market value.

Is recycling scrap metal a legal requirement for my business?

Yes, recycling any and all scrap metal is a legal requirement. Get in touch with us to find out how we can help you recycle your scrap metal in line with all current regulations.

Is your commodity brokerage service only based around Staffordshire?

Not necessarily. While we do serve the entirety of Stoke and Staffordshire, we can buy and sell scrap metal from businesses across the UK.

What type of scrap metals do you recycle?

We can recycle ferrous metals, such as steel, lead and tin and non-ferrous metals including copper, aluminium and brass.
