Operating from Winsford, Cheshire, Tiger Trailers manufacture trailers and bodywork. Through their partnership with Brown Recycling, we have been able to ensure 100% of their waste is diverted away from landfill.
More recycling means we had to create a dedicated plan for their site, allowing them to pursue a single stream waste management plan. Helping to maintain this high performance in 2018, we will also be with Tiger Trailers in 2019 as they open a new state-of-the-art factory for their business.
This has all been made possible by investment and dedication to efficient recycling by both ourselves and Tiger Trailers, ensuring continued success when it comes to waste management and the environment.
Antony Grocott, the Finance Manager at Tiger Trailers said:
“At Tiger, we realise the importance of protecting the environment. We are therefore embracing environmental change, which has been achieved with help and support from Brown Recycling. This change has also helped the company to achieve value for money.”
By providing dedicated wheelie bins to help sort materials, and regular collections to suit their business needs, we’ve helped to make responsible waste management easy. From cardboard materials to general waste, we’ll be continuing to work with Tiger Trailers across their site to ensure all waste is dealt with in the appropriate manner, avoiding the need to send anything to landfill.
Newcastle-under-Lyme is one of the many boroughs of Staffordshire, and operates a waste transfer station serviced by Brown Recycling in line with the 2007 Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy to promote more environmentally friendly waste disposal methods. With a head office function on-site, Newcastle Borough Council (NBC) is leading the way in Staffordshire Recycling.
Brown Recycling partnered with NBC in 1997 with the aim of improving the council’s green credentials, and helping to reduce landfill costs. We now provide 98% recycling on their dry waste, and 100% recycling on all other waste types for NBC, providing a tailor made solution that reduces the cost of waste management requirements, and successfully achieves Newcastle Borough Council’s business and environmental performance targets through a 100% diversion from landfill.
Using our state-of-the-art SRF (Solid Recovered Fuel) facility, we’ve ensured the successful improvement of NBC’s green credentials year on year, and will continue to do so with our long-standing partnership.
“Right from the outset you put my mind at ease that Brown Recycling were capable of handling the contract, throughout the process the communication and pre-planning was spot on.
During the event and for the post clean you and your team performed brilliantly. Due to the nature of the event industry suppliers have to be flexible and work in some challenging conditions, in particular weather-wise, this was definitely the case this year in V Festival. The drivers were always friendly and willing to go the extra mile for us which made our job a lot easier.
From start to finish it has been a pleasure working with Brown and I hope to continue the relationship going into the future. I would have no hesitation in recommending your company to any prospective client.”Read More
“We have been extremely pleased with the service provided by Brown Recycling, who have proved to be very reliable and flexible when we needed them to be.”
“We’ve been working with Brown Recycling for some years now and it’s refreshing to deal with a responsive local business where you contact and speak to people who can get what you need doing when you need it.”
“Brown Recycling took over the management of all our waste earlier this year and we have formed an excellent relationship. They are keen on all recycling so we have a much greener approach to the handling our waste which can vary from surplus food from the restaurants or bottles and cans from the bars to stable waste. We appreciate their flexibility and reliability which is so important for a busy operation like ours when no two weeks are the same.”
“Our business relationship started over 12 months ago and has since gone from strength to strength. In general, the scrap metal industry hasn’t received the best press in the past but dealing with Brown Recycling has brought a refreshing level of honesty and integrity to the market. Dovetail these qualities with a first class customer response and logistics service and Brown Recycling are well positioned to support the ongoing growth of our business.”
“As part of our review process we visited Brown Recycling’s operation and were impressed with the overall setup and operation. We were particularly impressed to see all the incoming waste streams being segregated to be recycled.”
Merlin Entertainments is the largest European entertainments company operating in Europe. Merlin runs 99 attractions in 22 countries across four continents, including Alton Towers located in Staffordshire, England. Alton Towers aim is to deliver unique, memorable and rewarding experiences to millions of visitors across their estate, so ensuring they have an efficient waste disposal service to keep their site environmentally friendly, clean, and safe is essential.
Brown Recycling were honoured to be the chosen waste disposal company for the multi-national award-winning entertainment group, winning our partnership with Alton Towers not only on price, but also for our established reputation as a leading waste company in the UK for the ‘waste to fuel’ markets.
Alton Towers was a major challenge not only because it is such a large site to organise effective and timely services for, but it is also a difficult place to access based up in the Staffordshire Moorlands, and with the traffic flow issues surrounding the development, we had to factor in timed deliveries that would suit the requirements of our client best.
We provide the ultimate solution to the sites waste management needs, providing a dedicated account manager who is also on hand to provide support for their detailed waste management plan, delivering a bespoke service that is exclusive to the needs of Alton Towers.
