Our Story in Pictures
A Century of Progress
Brown Recycling’s story began 100 years ago in the bulk coal and clay delivery trade. From those early days to now, our hard work and endeavour has seen us grow into the leading, independent provider of total waste management and recycling solutions for businesses across Staffordshire, Cheshire and the Midlands.
We’ve navigated through many challenges in the last century, but have always remained agile and adaptive to be ahead of the curve. Through continued growth, the company has remained family-led, with the fifth generation actively co-managing together.
The Centenary Anniversary Hub is the focal point for our upcoming celebrations. Throughout 2026, we will be sharing stories from our past, highlighting the people and partnerships that made our success possible, and unveiling new initiatives that promotes the well-being of our local community and its people. As a family-run business, we have always remained resolute in our mission to give back to the people of Staffordshire, which is why we are establishing our very own foundation in 2026.

Brown Recycling Charity Fund
Staffordshire has always been the heartbeat of our story. In 2026, we’re starting our own charity fund and with it, giving 12 small but no less important local charities a £1,000 grant each to help them continue their amazing work in our communities.
Our long-term goal is to grow the fund year by year. This only marks the beginning of an ongoing commitment to support those who dedicate their lives to helping others.
