Dougie Mac: Christmas Tree Collections

Brown Recycling have been supporting the Dougie Mac Annual Christmas Tree Collection since 2017, offering a range of services and time free of charge.

This collaborative effort includes providing vehicles for collection days, hook lift services for container transportation, recycling, and storage facilities at Brown Recycling’s MRF, and the establishment of office space at Brown Recycling as a central hub for Dougie Mac volunteers.

The most recent 2023 tree collection initiative collected 1677 trees from across Staffordshire and raised a fantastic £28,458 in donations for this great cause.

Angie Dawson, Senior Business and Community Fundraiser at Dougie Mac commented:

“Brown Recycling have been fantastic supporters of Dougie Mac for many years. Our annual Christmas tree recycling scheme has generated more than £65,000 over the last three years and this simply would not have been possible without the wonderful support and sponsorship from Browns.”

“All the money Brown Recycling has helped to raise enables us to continue our specialist care services for local children, young adults and adults facing a life-limiting condition. Their continued support really is making a big difference to our local community.”

“In addition, members of the Brown team have also taken part in a range of other fundraising activities and challenges to raise money for the hospice, including our annual Christmas Jumper Day. “
