Driving Carbon Reduction With a Major Investment in Our Fleet

We are delighted to have taken delivery of four new fully branded Euro 6 standard Iveco IVECO X-WAY hook loaders from Guest Motor Group for our Brown Recycling truck fleet, at a cost of over £600,000.

This investment is part of our ongoing fleet renewal system, which ensures all vehicles are replaced with upgraded and more environmentally friendly versions every five years, supporting our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint as well as enhancing our driver experience.

What is Euro 6?

Euro 6 standard vehicles are at the forefront of emissions technology, significantly reducing harmful pollutants compared to their predecessors. With up to a 10% improvement in fuel consumption and reduced CO2 emissions, courtesy of the new powertrain, vehicle controls, and improved aerodynamics, our fleet sets a new benchmark for environmentally conscious waste management operations.

With the addition of these new vehicles, we now have a 95% Euro 6 compliant fleet, helping ensure we are complying with the latest regulatory standards, reducing the carbon emissions in our communities and taking up one step nearer our target of a 100% Euro 6 fleet.

Supporting our drivers

This latest investment in our fleet also supports our aim of providing our drivers with the safest and most comfortable driving experience.

With outstanding ergonomics and controls layout, more space and excellent visibility the new trucks deliver the ultimate in drive comfort. And additional features such as Highway Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go capabilities, also prioritise safety and reduce fuel consumption.

As Ian Moore, one of our drivers assigned one of the new trucks commented:
