At Brown Recycling, we believe our greatest asset is our team especially our apprentices. That’s why we actively invest in the development and career growth of our staff at all levels. By fostering a culture of continuous learning, we aim to not only enhance individual skills but also drive the overall success of our company.
As part of our commitment to the development of new talent, we’ve welcomed three apprentices into our Business Support and Finance teams over the last couple of years. These young people bring fresh perspectives and a keen enthusiasm to their roles, helping us to innovate and improve our services.
Our two business support apprentices, India Carpenter and Lauren Bailey, play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within the company. From handling administrative tasks to assisting with our weighbridge operations, they are essential to our day-to-day activities. Through hands-on training and mentorship, we provide them with the tools and knowledge they need to excel in their roles and progress in their careers.
The finance team is the backbone of our organisation’s financial health, and our finance apprentice, Ryan Roberts, is integral to maintaining this stability. By working closely with our experienced finance professionals, he has gained invaluable insights into financial management, budgeting, and planning. This work experience, combined with formal education is equipping him with skills for his future in finance.
Apprenticeships offer a unique opportunity for individuals to learn and grow within a supportive and real-world environment. We are proud of our commitment to professional development and the positive impact it has on our business. By investing in our people, we are investing in the future of Brown Recycling.
Laura Norburn, our HR Advisor, highlights the benefits:
“Apprenticeships offer that blend of hands-on learning and professional development, being able to gain practical experience, knowledge and essential skills whilst studying and gaining a qualification.”
“We are immensely proud of the three apprentices we have at Brown Recycling, all who have unique strengths which become more evident as they grow within their role and the business. Demonstrating our company values, they continue to deliver high quality work and have been open and honest in their delivery of the strong principles we adopt. They are also all curious, bringing new ideas forward. We are excited to continue this journey with them and celebrate their achievements and success.”
